@Mike Macgirvin wanted to follow up on the backfilling bug you found. It still seems like my instance is not backfilling on new connections.

Can anyone else confirm if they have the same issue, or is it just me?

Re: posting to old group posts - You sent a duplicate post to the streams group and I removed one of them (as it was a duplicate). But I can't delete your copy (you're the author), so you can still reply to it. But it won't get forwarded because it was deleted from the group. You should be able to reply just fine to the other duplicate - unless you deleted that one and kept the other.

Anyway I haven't been able to test the backfill fix yet because I've been swamped with support tickets and group support requests and private mails to fix other stuff and I only have 3 hours per day that I can devote to the fediverse. That's it. I have a job, a farm, and a family which all require my attention. If I have any time left over, I first try to answer support questions (such as this one). If I have any time left over after that, I can actually work on the code.

If you're impatient, the code which needs verifying is in Code/Daemon/Onepoll.php

No worries. I do feel pressure sometimes. That's my cross to bear. Anyway good news. I've traced through it and found a couple of glitches and got them sorted out. That section of code has a tortured history and it needed to happen. Backfilled messages seem to be flowing now. This is is dev branch. I'll push it to release once I make sure that nothing is going to blow up.

Well, I won't speak for everyone else here, but I think you're doing amazing work; and don't want you to feel pressured to do too much on the fediverse side of things.
