Should I be able to clone a hubzilla channel into streams?
Using the old did and password I could clone the profile but not posts.
When trying file import it throws a compatibility error.

Usually I use the non-live method, that is, I export calmly, and on the day I create the channel in the new site I import the json.

If you are exporting from Hubzilla and wish to import into streams, you will need to supply a zap_compat=1 option to the URL on the Hubzilla side to translate everything to the newer storage format.
Or you can install the content_import addon and automatically pull content and files from the old server without worrying too much about memory constraints or what format to use.

- After this export/import, will the Hubzilla and Streams channels be synchronized clones, or is this a one-way migration?

From what I know in case 2 in streams or 1 in streams 1 in zap continues sync, but 1 streams and 1 hubzilla stops sync.

It's purely one way. The two endpoints are still the same identity; however nothing is shared or synced after the initial import so it is best used for a one-time migration. The intention is to always have a forward migration strategy for users even if it is clumsy. We didn't have one for a year or two and people howled. Migrating entire servers is out of the realm of possibility as there is only one of me and it would take about 5-10 man years to pull off.

Something like namesite/uexport/basiczap_compat=1 or namesite/uexport/basic/zap_compat=1?

It's a URL parameter, so
namesite/uexport/basic?zap_compat=1
If there is already a parameter with a question mark, use an &.
namesite/uexport/basic?something=1&something_else=2&zap_compat=1
Or just use online import or content_import and let streams take care of the details.

The hub admin needs to install the content_import addon if you don't see in the apps list ;)
