@wiki_me I think it is better in almost every way. there are few things I miss from the centralized corporate bubbles

I think not having quote tweets is extremely silly. Assuming people are being tricked by the app into being mean is foolish. Quote tweeting is highly useful, I want to link people to my old threads. Just make it give people a notification.

We had a great deal of lively discussion about the best implementation and that's the standard which emerged. For what it's worth, my software will still support the existing ten ways of doing quoted shares until the legacy code finally dies out. But as far as I know, most everybody is on board with this except Mastodon (who refuse to implement it) and one other project I won't name.
